Seattle Fashion Show

Washington beauty and fashion show

On September 7th, 2012, Evergreen Beauty College and the International Academy of Design & Technology partnered up for the fifth year in a row to host one of the largest student-run fashion shows in Washington state: “Imagine.”

The Imagine show, run by the International Academy of Design & Technology, has always chosen dramatic, non-traditional venues, and as it’s grown and changed, it’s been able to move to larger and even more beautiful venues. It was first put on at a tent in the city of Renton. After this, it moved to the beautiful Benaroya Hall in Seattle, and today, it’s being held at the gigantic Museum of Flight next to Boeing Field.

The Imagine fashion show has always been a wonderful experience. Even as far back as 2008, the Imagine annual fashion show was already pulling talent from all across the country; Nick Verreos, a fan favorite of Project Runway Season 2, routinely flies into Seattle every year to take part in this fashion show, often helping with the judging process. In 2011, Shirin Askari, also from Project Runway, performed the emcee services for the fashion show.

Today, the fashion community comes together to enjoy this incredible show with fashion designers from all over the industry. This year’s fashion show experience paired Evergreen Beauty College students together with International Academy of Design & Technology students to send out some gorgeous styles from across the fashion industry. The clothing was designed and created by IADT student fashion professionals, while the hair and makeup were done by Evergreen Beauty College students.

Evergreen Beauty College has actually been a proud sponsor of the Imagine fashion show since 2008, believing in the power of runway fashion to help all of its students learn more and grow their skills. Whether students are interested in entering the fashion scene after graduation or not, Evergreen Beauty College understands that events like Metropolitan Fashion Week, Seattle Fashion Week, and the IADT Imagine show are all key to helping students get involved in the fashion community and hone their skills.

The pictures from the student event are a great way to see how excited our students are to experience the fashion business. Whether they’re just fashion enthusiasts, they’re hoping to eventually become a fashion consultant or fashion entrepreneur, or they’re just excited to take part in such a long-running fashion event, these pictures show a bunch of fashion friends working together to experience fashion in a brand-new way.

If you want to check out the fashion art gallery, click here to check out our Facebook album, which is full of exciting pics from one of the hottest fashion nights around.

Our students are exceptional, and one of the biggest reasons for that is their pursuit of excellence in the fashion world and beyond. Their skills at this fashion networking event turned out to be incredible, and if you’re interested in proving yourself at similar Seattle and Bellevue fashion shows, you might want to join Evergreen Beauty College as well.

From an introduction to the fashion community to building skills that are in fierce demand right now, Evergreen Beauty College makes it easier for our students to create a career that they’re excited about. Regardless of whether you’re the type of person who wants to work Bellevue Fashion Week for years to come or you’re hoping to eventually get your own spot at a prestigious salon, Evergreen Beauty College will help you through an education in fields like cosmetology, esthetics, and nail technology.

Building a future can sometimes be as easy as investing in a field you’re passionate about, and for a surprising number of people, that field is fashion and cosmetology. If reading this article and seeing some of the great pictures from our fashion series has inspired an interest in the field, consider scheduling a tour with Evergreen Beauty College to see whether cosmetology, esthetics, barbering, or nail technology might be something that could become your future day job and passion.
